Westminster Prez recovers from arson...
In the early hours of December 2, 2015, a 19-year-old man broke into the sanctuary of the church and set it on fire. The church experienced $900,000 worth of damage. Flames, smoke and heat badly damaged the sanctuary, destroying instruments, hymnals, breaking stained-glass windows, and the worship space.
On Sunday, December 4, 2017, the church rededicated the sanctuary. Many new updates were completed, including new restrooms, a sound booth, and updated all entrances so that the church is easily accessible for all persons, including those persons with disabilities.
